Nature Sync Project

Connecting Seniors to Nature, Technology & Teaching

Project description

This project will connect seniors (55+) through nature, technology, and community action, fostering social inclusion by reducing social isolation and creating accessible, welcoming opportunities for participation. Through hands-on learning, participants will explore how technology can be harnessed to connect with nature and our local landscapes.

Meet the Nature TechBuddies

Participants of NatureSync can become part of the Nature TechBuddies programming group. Nature TechBuddies includes various field trips, presentations, hands-on learning and citizen science opportunities.  Participants receive a nature journal to use throughout all programming.

The Nature Sync Project is made possible through the Connecting Seniors to Nature Through Technology & Teaching Project (CSNTT), an initiative created and administered by the Southeast Environmental Association (SEA) and delivered in partnership with Island-based community organizations. The Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program provides funding support.
