Testing the Waters: One Way We Monitor Stream Health

Water quality is routinely taken at several locations across our area using a handheld YSI meter. This device measures water temperature, barometric pressure, dissolved oxygen, specific conductance, conductivity, total dissolved solids, salinity, and pH. We also have several temperature loggers deployed; these devices are set to measure water temperature every 2 hours. If you want to learn more about these parameters and see past data, visit Atlantic Datastream. All our water quality and stream flow data are uploaded to this website.
