Co-coordinator

Jenna Smith is a certified wildlife technician with a diploma from Holland College, and a graduate of UPEI with a bachelor’s degree in wildlife conservation. She is a Co-coordinator at the Belfast Area Watershed Group (BAWG) and has worked at BAWG in a seasonal role since 2019. Jenna’s favourite part of the job is leading various wildlife and habitat surveys. Bank swallow surveying is something she looks forward to each year!

Victoria Hawkins

Co-Coordinator

I grew up in and around Murray Harbour, but moved to the big city (Halifax), where I graduated from Saint Mary’s University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies. Afterward, I moved back home and have been working in the environmental field practically ever since. I worked at Hunter-Clyde Watershed Group for five years, starting as an intern and working my way up to Interim Watershed Coordinator, though most of my time there was spent as Project Manager. I loved the position and the work I performed while in that role and am excited to be doing similar work with BAWG! I have also had shorter stints of work with Southeast Environmental Association and PEI Forests, Fish, and Wildlife, where I gained invaluable experience. When I’m not working, I love exploring new places and drinking coffee with friends, spending time outside with my dogs, and reading anywhere I can! I am looking forward to my time with the crew at BAWG!
